One of TimTec ActiMol collections was purchased jointly by the New England Regional Center of Excellence in Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases (NERCE/BEID) and the Broad Institute-Chemical Biology Platform in May 2005. These compounds were specifically chosen by Dr. Tudor Oprea's group at the University of New Mexico to increase the overall diversity of the ICCB-Longwood collection, as well as for favorable physico-chemical properties such as solubility, decreased toxicity, and increased stability.

The Institute of Chemistry and Cell Biology (ICCB) was established at Harvard Medical School in 1998.
