Natural Products and Natural Products-Derived Compounds
Renewed interest in natural products and natural product-derived compounds as a source for new leads in drug discovery programs has been occurring in the recent past (C&EN, October 12, 2003, p.77). This attention has been attributed to a number of factors that include; diminished productivity in the pharmaceutical industry; unfulfilled promises of combinatorial chemistry technology; the history of natural sources to provide drug leads and products. This latter statement is supported by analysis claiming that 61% of 877 small molecule drugs introduced worldwide during the period 1981-2002 can be traced to, or were inspired by, natural products [J Natural Products, 66,1022(2003)]. TimTec has assembled a library of natural products and natural product-derived compound that provide a broad selection of molecular frameworks that probe chemical diversity space. If you would like more information on this library, please contact us. Featured Natural Compounds Natural products availble for sale from eChemShop Natural Compound Library (NPL) A new library of 480 compounds exclusively composed of pure natural products as lead identifying materials. Download in PDF format Natural Derivatives Library (NDL) NDL elaborates on structural variety of pure natural compounds and includes synthetic compounds and synthetically modified pure natural compounds: alkaloids, natural phenols, nucleoside analogs, carbohydrates, purines, pyrimidines, flavonoids, steroidal compounds, and natural amino acids. Gossypol and Gossypol Derivatives Gossypol and derivatives from gossipol are available in mg, G and KG scale. Plant Extracts Our database contains plants collected from various regions of the former USSR with about 2600 available from stock for extraction and 9000 plants are avilable for collection. Extracts can be prepared on large and small scale. Active plant component identification is also possible. Available Natural Compounds from stock Related Information Natural Product Reports article
